2006 Wednesday 15 NovemberThe real Khatami unveiledMullah Khatami, traveled to Turkey this week to promote Dialogue Among Civilizations which he has always maintained as his concept. However the "Dialogue of Civilizations" was first established in 1976, in Iran with the support and participation of Farah Pahlavi, the Empress of Iran. The Persian name of the organization was "Sazman Gofte-gouye Farhangha" which literally translates as "Dialogue of Civilizations". The objective of this organization, was to establish a fruitful exchange between cultures on a global scale. This was viewed by the organization as an essential conduit for peace and understanding among nations. As a result, the first seminar, known as "L' Impact Plantaire de la Pense Occidentale, rend-il possible le Dialogue des Civilisations" was held in 1978 in Iran with the participation of countries such as France, Japan and Egypt. An essay was later published in France on the subject. Pursuant to the November 24th, 1998 General Assembly resolution 53-22, a panel discussion on "Dialogue among Civilizations, a New Paradigm" was held on May 6th, 1999 at Columbia University. The Islamic Republic of Iran sponsored this event in collaboration with the University's School of International and Public Affairs. Mullah Mohammad Khatami who has from the beginning falsified facts and claimed the idea as his own, has ever since globe-trotted at the expense of the starving people of Iran to promote this organization which has been heavily bolstered and supported by individuals close to Kofi Annan who are also among the top persons being implicated in the Oil for Food scandal. According to a report from the regime-run news agency Aria, during his visit to Turkey Khatami was interviewed by a Turkish television channel where he was asked about the Islamic regime’s suspicious nuclear activities. The man who claims to promote dialogue among civilizations however responded by saying: "Our nuclear program is peaceful and should not be considered a threat for the region. Israel is the threat. We strive for friendly relations with the countries of the region.” Also in relation to the warrant issued for the arrest of Rafsanjani and company, by the judiciary of Argentina, this Mullah who is being proclaimed, by some circles in the west as the reasonable alternative to Ahmadinejad said: "This is a Zionist plot and Argentina’s claim that the Islamic Republic had anything to do with this explosion is contemptible and the reopening of this case can be of no international consequence.” |
