2006 Thursday 09 NovemberDock workers sprayed with bullets by regime agentsIran Press News: The regime-run news agency ISNA reported: The Islamic parliamentary representative from the port city of Bushehr, in a letter to Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, Ahmadinejad’s interior minister, about the shooting of dock workers, writes: “ . . . In broad daylight and in the full view of the public, under the ‘guise of combatting smuggling’ which is a total sham, customs workers and drivers were sprayed with bullets; an innocent worker by the name of Bawrooni Haghighat was shot in the head and died on the spot while others were severely injured. Since Saturday [November 4th] tension, unrest and psychological pressure of the murder of an innocent worker has the entire city seething with rage. Tell me who will take the responsibilty of the recklessness and insubordination of the Bushehr police commandant in dealing with the fate of the residents of a city? An investigation of such inhumane behavior is the least that of the demands made by the representatives of the Bushehr province.” |
