2006 Monday 09 October2200 Gachsawron oil field workers have not received a paycheck in 6 monthsIran Press News: Alirez Jannait, the director of Labor House in the region of Kohkilouyeh and Boier-Ahmad said that 2200 oil company workers of the oil-rich town of Gachsawron have not been paid during past six months. Jannati to the regime-run "ILNA’s" said: the workers are covered by 63 Contracting companies and are they are entitled to a total sum of almost $18 million. He added: “The workers pleas have fallen on deaf ears and it is unclear why their wages are not being paid.” Jannati also criticized the willfull neglect of the Gachsawron oil company management in addressing and resolving the workers’ concerns. Jannati stressed: “If member of the management, themselves go unpaid two months would they keep their mouths shut?” Jannati also mentioned: “The sugar factory in the town of Yasoudj was shut down 3 years ago and 3000 workers are in limbo.” |
