Islamic regime’s oil minister on the verge of dismissal

Iran Press News: The regime-run news agency ENTEKHAB quoted a source close to the cabinet who said that in the coming days vast changes will be taking place within the Ahmadinejad administration. The first to leave will be the oil minister; Vaziri Hamaneh is expected to be dismissed from the cabinet.

According to the report, the source who wished to remain anonymous said: “Apparently Vaziri Hamaneh’s actions in the ministry of oil breached the pact that he sigend with Ahmadinejad and it is due to that, that he is being ejected from his position.”

It seems that during his first year as president, Ahmadinejad asked for all of the members of his cabinet to sign a pact with him. The pact basically forced each minister to agree to certain conditions; any deviation from these conditions would mean that they would be reevaluated at the beginning of the second year at their posts.

Regarding the successor of the oil minister, this source said: “The most likely replacement is the minister of energy who will be installed as the acting minister of oil but he is expected to be proposed to the Islamic parliament (Majles) as the permanent replacement, next week.” In closing the source stressed: “Within the next weeks 3 other new ministers are expected to be presented to the Majles.”
