Iran Press News: The regime-run news agency MEHR reported that due to political reasons, Hungary refused to issue visa for the Iranian swim team. The water polo, handball, Karate teams were also refused Hungarian visas.
The vice president of swimming, diving and water polo federation of the Islamic Republic in a retaliatory statement said: “Of course, it’s not like we’re sitting idly by either; if our efforts to appear in Hungary fails we will look around for other countries to set up our training camp.”
