2006 Thursday 28 SeptemberMore arrests in Azerbaijan, including a 16 year oldIran Press News: Based on received reports, five young activists, residents of the town of Mákoú were arrested on Friday, September 22nd for distributing bulletins. The five are Adel Shokri, Hussein Shamsi, Reza Mowlaii, Mohammad-Reza Hatami and Sohrob Roshtbari. The young men have not been permitted to contact their respective families. Also on the same day a 16-year-old student, Sina Madadi-Osalou, was arrested by the regime’s ministry of intelligence and security disciplinary forces in Orumiyeh. Sina, is now in the ministry of intelligence and security’s detention center and the secret police is adamantly refusing to offer any explanations to the youth’s family. Reports indicate that another student, ArashMakkari, has also been collared in the Naghdeh Township. |
