2006 Thursday 24 AugustDisappearance of a teacher and human right activist in the town of KamyaranOrganization for the defense of human rights in Kurdistan Farzad Kamangar, a high school teacher at a Kamyaran public school as well as a member of the organization for defense of human rights in Kurdistan disappeared on Friday, August 18th, after being summoned to the office of intelligence and security. It is unclear what the purpose of the summons was.
Hedayat Daymasi, a 25-year-old resident of the town of Piranshahr was shot and killed by the Islamic regime’s disciplinary forces. He was shot while working as a pack hauler on the border area of Iran and was hauling packages on his back in that region at the time of his shooting. The young man was severely injured and died in the hospital. |
