2005 Thursday 01 December“Russia’s proposal is beneficial neither in the short term nor the long term”ILNA, the regime-run news agency, reported that Alireza Akbari, a source that ILNA referred to as Director of the Establishment of Advancement of Resolution, said: “The acceptance of Russia’s proposal is beneficial [to the regime] neither in the short term nor the long term; in fact it is entirely detrimental. The context of this proposal is that a limited part of the Uranium enrichment and production of raw materials should take place inside Iran; the produced Uranium will then be transferred outside Iran to be turned into enriched Uranium, where it will be decided whether this substance will be returned to Iran to be turned into the fuel rod or not! At this rate the Islamic regime will not only never obtain centrifuge fuel, it will be prevented from it. The aim of this proposal is to block the regime from reaching its objectives.” |
